1. What are my hobbies? I love to run. I have been training for my third half marathon and the challenge is invigorating. I am obsessed with wakeboarding. I got one that is suited for my size for Christmas and I can’t wait to try it out.
2. What is my favorite place? Smith Mountain Lake where the sunsets are more beautiful than any I have ever seen. Any sunny beach is a close second.
3. What is my favorite food? Cereal. I love cereal. I am one of those people who keeps adding cereal to the leftover milk and vice versa until I have eaten the equivalent of three bowls at a time. I could eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. I don’t buy it much because I have very little willpower and portion control when it comes to this food item.
4. What is my favorite movie? Not sure. When I was in high school I loved the movie Pretty Woman. I owned and wore out the copy I had. Now, I don’t get into them too much. I rarely see a film I would watch more than once. Bucket List was good. I like Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. What a combination!
5. Technology challenges? I got an iPod shuffle for my birthday a couple of years ago. It has taken me a while to get with the technology program. I use my cell phone for phone calls, not listening to music or texting. We recently got a laptop and wireless internet at home. It’s great. I don’t have GPS in my car but could probably benefit from it and I don’t have a Blackberry. I don’t listen to satellite radio. I still like some of my old CDs.
6. What is my favorite restaurant? I love Carlos in Roanoke. We make a reservation there once a year around Christmas. It is a special treat we enjoy with close friends and the food is always amazing.
7. What makes a good weekend? I used to be a crazy planning freak and I still am sometimes but… the best weekends are those with no timeline. I love to grill out steaks even when it is 32 degrees out (Matt gets that chore) make a fresh salad and baked potato to enjoy with a little bit of red wine.
8. What I wish I had more of – Time. No matter how much I plan there is always something that needs to be done. I wish I had more free time to spend with family and friends but who doesn’t?
9. Do we have make-up artists and people who do our hair? No. We do all of that ourselves.
10. What kind of pet? We are the proud parents of a 13 year old one eared beagle named Luckie who came from the Roanoke Valley SPCA about 10 years ago. He is a former pet of the week and the best dog in the world.
