As I spent the day in Blacksburg with my mom.. I couldn’t help but think it was more like the beginning of December than the end of October.. I was looking for some Halloween festive accessories to wear tomorrow to help out with the Spooky Sprint 5k that raises money for Roanoke’s West End Center for youth… and now instead of wearing a pink plastic tiara.. I may be wearing ear muffs and a winter hat..
It helps to get perspective from others because while I am still missing the 70’s.. while my husband and I were at dinner tonight a man working at the restaurant where we ate said, “I love winter.. this is my kind of weather.”
I thought.. to each his own.. we all like what we like.. and whether we like it or not we are going to get our first bit of snow for the “season” tomorrow.. at least some of us will. Even though I don’t love winter.. it is exciting to get some snow.
If you would like to join us for the Spooky Sprint in Roanoke here is a link to more information about the event that starts at 4:00p Saturday October 29th.
