When I woke up on Sunday morning.. my back was sore… my arms were sore… my legs were sore… What had I done on Saturday? Like everyone else I shoveled snow…
The last time it snowed (December ‘09)we just shoveled a section from our garage to the top of a gentle slope… and then just drove over the rest of our 50 yard or so driveway… so imagine my surprise when we reached that little mark.. and Matt kept pushing snow with his shovel…
I said,“Ummm… are you planning to shovel to the road?”
He looked at me and said,“Well that is what I was thinking.”
<silence>
I said,“Ohhh…okay.”
I didn’t want him to have to do the rest on his own so I put it in my head we were going to do the whole thing… the further we got… the further the road seemed… finally… the last swipe… we were done and there were still some flurries coming down…
We went inside… I took some ibuprofen…
Sunday… the driveway had another two inches covering it… we needed to go to the store… but before we took the Jeep out Matt suggested we go over the driveway one more time… the snow was so light we could easily push it but… I have to say… I am really over shoveling and pushing snow… and now Storm Team 10 says we may have more snow this weekend…
I am seriously thinking that we should invest in one of the following to replace this weekend snow warrior- a four wheeler… a plow for our John Deere… or a snow blower… all of them cost more than the new shovel I picked up on Friday… but will definitely get the job done faster…
