My weekend is 35 minutes away and I couldn’t be happier.. there is just something about a two day break at the end of a long week… This week has had ups and downs.. and there is nothing like a funfilled weekend with my best friend in the whole world….
I am so blessed to have a great husband who is always supportive and listens to me with interest… there are moments when he needs an ear and there are moments when I am so thankful for his..
At one point this week.. he said to me… “This just hasn’t been a very good day for you has it?” and he said the words with such compassion and care… like only a best friend can… and at that moment any worries I had just drifted away.. because I have him and so many other blessings that give my life true meaning and worth…
There was a time when my values were different… my priorities were different… I strive for greatness in all that I do.. but have learned over the years that even when you do that… you can never please all of the people all of the time… and the only thing that really matters is that you please the people you care about most as much as possible.
