I did 12 miles by myself on Sunday because my training partner, Alison has a knee injury. I loaded up my iPod with some new music and just set out on the two hour long run… this is my third half marathon and in many ways I look forward to the tapering beforehand but in others I miss logging so many miles…
I have been reporting a lot more so my work day begins and ends earlier now and finding time to do the training I have left has been challenging and fun… for instance I was up before the birds and our beagle this morning to head to our local YMCA to do my 6 mile interval training work out…
As I was leaving the gym the sun was coming up! It was such a good feeling… 1. The work out for the day is over 2. It is amazingly peaceful at daybreak and 3. The work out for the day is over (hee hee)
Anyway, I am looking forward to the big day and have already started planning to run my fourth big race… It looks a bit more challenging… It is called the Trail Nut Half Marathon in Bedford... I would love to hear from some people who have done the course…
