Since hunting season started… I have been careful with what I wear on my runs… I have a blaze orange jacket that I always wear this time of year because I don’t want to be mistaken for a wild animal.. someone once told me during turkey season not to wear red and blue because those are colors on turkeys… and I actually don’t even know if it is turkey hunting season and I didn’t see a lot of red a blue but a lot of brown and feathers on my way into work the other day…
In my quest to get closer… I just ended up herding the flock of birds closer to the woods… no gobble-gobble sounds from these guys… I don’t think turkeys migrate either… these birds didn’t seem to be in any kind of hurry to head south for the winter.. or in any kind of hurry for anything… but to get away from me.
I love living “out in the middle of no where” so peaceful… everything but the drive to the grocery story is great!
