I am in no way a “fashionista”... I struggle sometimes to put an outfit together… not the basics… but accessories are not my strong suit… belts.. scarves… necklaces… years ago when I first started out in television I would call my mom to ask her if the outfit I put together would match… yes I would call her… not like she could see a picture of me so I would have to describe in great detail the ensemble I planned to wear… she saved me from some “fashion faux pas”
This year I have gone a little crazy though with the what’s in… I bought a pair of bright yellow heels because of some article that said yellow was the new “it” color for spring… hope it is still the “it” color for summer because I am wearing them right now…
I have tried to master the whole “layering” thing when it comes to shirts and tanks…. all I have found so far is that the material is so thin… I got a hole in one of the tanks after the first wash… perhaps they make clothes thinner so they can make more money when they charge you more for the “trendy look” without using as much material…
My latest purchase is purely fun and “sporty” the neon green aviators which may look cool if I am about to go wakeboarding but… not as cool with my white cardigan in the news room which is the picture you see featured in this blog… I feel like I came away with a bargain since my version only cost $9.99 because the ones just like them featured in a article that professed “splashy shades” are all the rage were $130.00..
