I completely understand that we need rain…. we need the sunshine afterward to help things grow… I don’t care much for wind… but I am sure it serves some kind of purpose other than fueling sailboats on a warm day… but humidity really stinks!
I’m not just talking about the hair issues that automatically come with air that is so thick you could cut it with a knife… it just makes doing about anything outside so much harder… I put nearly a dozen different plants in the ground today before work… each one of them had directions that said to dig a hole twice the size of the root ball… these were big plants… needless to say I did a lot of shoveling and after the first two plants.. the sweat was just rolling off of me… I wanted to quit but knew if I did those poor plants would probably live a short life in the plastic pots they came in… so I “shoveled on” and eventually was quite pleased with the end result.. pushing the wheelbarrow I carried them in back up the hill was probably the hardest part..
After the yard work, I considered going for a run… but the last time I did that in this kind of mugginess I ended up feeling sick to my stomach… so I stuck it out on the treadmill in our nice cool basement instead… not as scenic but it served its purpose…
Jeff says the weekend looks humidity free! I can’t wait.
