Tax Free Holiday and Cash For Clunkers

I used to drive an old boxy Jeep Cherokee - I loved that thing.  It was a ‘94 or something like that… navy blue… the driver side door actually fell off the hinges and I found someone over in Salem to weld it back on for me… It was great for many reasons - I grew up with a mom who taught me it doesn’t matter what your car looks like as long as it gets you from “A to B”  so as my Jeep was tripping 189,000 miles and Matt and I were moving to Franklin County everyone around me said I needed to get a newer more dependable car… I had already replaced the Universal Joint once in the Jeep and it was tired looking inside - the tan interior was vinyl and some kind of fabric weave… the lining of the roof had started to dip down a little where it had come loose… it had a small dent in the front fender and the back bumper needed to be painted - but other than that it was great and it was hard for me to let it go… I got $1,500.00 on the trade in - $4,500.00 sure would have been nice….

And with all of the talk about the tax free weekend - it makes me want to go buy some school supplies or clothes and shoes.. but since I don’t really need any of those things saving a few dollars so far has not been enough to make me spend… we’ll see.
