I take several vitamins each day and usually don’t think much about whether they are “safe” because they are common supplements like Vitamin D,
Multi-Vitamin, Folic Acid and Fish Oil… but at the Women’s Health University luncheon that addressed menopause and ways to curb the side effects several over the counter herbs were discussed and the issue of safety came up.
The speaker recommended checking out a website called [url=http://www.consumerlab.com]http://www.consumerlab.com[/url] - the FDA does not test supplements but she said there was some guidance about particular over the counter herbs and supplements to be found through the site.
