I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the game this year but found several commercials to be cute and entertaining and since I grew up listening to Madonna.. I really enjoyed the half time show more than any other I have seen.
I really like the M&Ms; ad.. it was clever and funny.. and the We Go Budweiser ad was entertaining and cute… I also like the Doritos ad created by the Virginia Beach man as part of a contest… but what still floors me every year is the amount of money paid for that 30 seconds in time… over 3 million dollars… at the end of some of the ads.. I found myself thinking huh? They paid more than 3 million dollars for that?
There were a couple that had me wondering what they were even selling.. and then at the end when you are supposed to have an “ah-ha” moment.. it was more like a “hmmmm” moment…
I didn’t have a vested interested in the teams that were playing.. and the tradition of watching for the ads and half time show does ad to the festivity of the whole thing.. it was exciting to have it on NBC this year too!
