As many of you know news is always happening… that is why it is called news and that is why I am working tonight… I had vacation last week and as with any workplace… you can’t have everyone off at the same time or you have to shut down…
I have about a 40 minute commute home so for the past few years I have “listened” to the ball drop with Ryan Seacrest over the radio… or whoever does the radio countdown… I thought it was him last year… I barely remember… so when I was asked about my plans I joked, “I’ll be spending the new year with Ryan Seacrest..”
As I was leaving for work today I told Matt I didn’t understand what the big deal was about this holiday… he explained that for most people it was the third biggest holiday of the year next to Thanksgiving and Christmas… for you it may rank higher… I guess I don’t get it because I haven’t “really” celebrated it for years…
I did feel a little bit sad today… because this time of year makes me realize how fast time flies by and how fleeting life can be… okay.. enough of the sentimental mess… let’s get on with 2010 and make it the best one yet!!
