This is my best shot of the day… it is from our deck and I have to say I like the snow better when it falls on my normally scheduled day off…. Matt drove us into Roanoke.. dropped me off at work and then took care of some business in Roanoke and Botetourt… the roads weren’t as bad as I thought they might be.. I was impressed with how the plows were keeping up with the fast falling snow… I am not sure if that has to do with the time of day the snow started… the fact that we have had two other snow storms for practice… or something else…
It is amazing to me the lack of sense some people have on snow covered roads… on our way in a pick up truck was “pulled over” with the hazard lights on… basically sitting in the middle of the right driving lane… at first we thought it was someone who needed help… as we slowed down we saw the driver had gotten out to take a picture of a rundown, log cabin-like shed/building that was covered with snow… I am all for a pretty rustic photo but give me a break.. and stay out of the way of other drivers… or at least park your truck or car somewhere out of the way and safely walk to your photo-op…
