Skipping rocks has never been so easy

All of the cold temperatures we have been having for the last few weeks have left part of the cove near our home at Smith Mountain Lake frozen solid… I wouldn’t attempt to ice skate on it or anything…

I used a flip cam to get some video and found the most effective way to show the ice was by throwing rocks… the third one was a little bit too big for the ice test… after about ten minutes or so of tossing rocks onto the ice… I got cold and a little bored… meanwhile, my neighbors are probably wondering where all of the rocks came from…

Luckie came down to the water with us and slid most of the way because our yard is covered was still covered with a layer of snow/ice… I will be glad to see the snow storm of 2009 finally disappear… Is it spring yet?
