I didn’t realize how crazy we looked until I mentoned to our 11:00pm producer that we were going for a run.. that I would be back in a little bit… Kaitlin looked at me… and just kind of slowly nodded… and said okay… I laughed out loud… when I realized that it was *obvious* we were going for a run… dressed in head-to-toe neon orange.. and pink with a red flashing light attached to my jacket..
Alison and I run on sidewalks for the most part.. but there are a couple of sections of our loops that don’t have them… so while some people may think we look silly… others would say they would rather look “silly” and be seen than look “cool” and not be seen…
As we were finishing our run… coming through downtown… it was kind of funny to hear an outdoor diner remark as we went by… “Safety First…” we laughed a little bit… and both look forward to evening runs with more sunshine and less neon :)
