As Jeff contemplates whether the “wedge” will move in on Friday.. which will bring much colder temperatures… I am wondering where I will run my 7 mile training run… probably outside because even with the wedge I’ll take fall over winter any day.
Today… I picked a rural spot near the lake to run… and while I typically don’t take my Blackberry with me… on longer runs I wear a belt with two water bottle holders.. it also has a zipper pouch that perfect for holding my cell phone… I decided to snap a few fun pictures…

This time of year is beautiful and some of our local farms have the coolest images like this American Flag hanging from a small red shed…

Then, there was this somewhat creepy display someone put up in front of an abandoned house… a faceless “dummy” of sorts..
The marathon is 15 days away now… I have one more 7 mile run for the week… then Alison and I run 13 on Saturday and the training gets easier as we taper before the big 26.2 on November 14th in Richmond.

As I was getting close to the end of today’s 7 mile run I snapped a picture of the still water on the lake… there wasn’t a boat in site today… not even a fisherman…
So if the wedge comes in… there is nothing we can do about it… and the weather is only going to get colder… so I guess I should just be thankful it’s not going to be in the 40’s…
