Open enrollment season is not fun

This is the time of year for many things… Halloween is this weekend… Thanksgiving is not far off and fall in Virginia is one of the best foliage events to behold… and it is also “Open Enrollment Season”

Don’t get me wrong…. I am so thankful that I have health insurance to begin with… because I know that so many people do not but every year it feels like the selections I make mean my life is on the line…  I get stressed out over nothing…

Then there is the mantra that if you don’t enroll - even if it is just to make the same selections… you won’t be covered at all next year… typically I run through the check list and just picked whatever I had the year before… but this year we have made some changes to our personal investments so I needed to tweak some of my benefit selections…

I read and re-read and check and double check and even though I have now officially signed up I still have a couple of questions to get ironed out…

If it is your open enrollment season too… good luck.. the decisions you make now will be permanent… that is until we all have to do it all over again next year.
