Luckie dog does beg a little bit when we eat dinner… I usually don’t feed him from the table but old habits are impossible to break… I guess that is why they say “never feed a dog from the table…” because once you do they never forget…
Matt has never fed Luckie from the table but he does always let him lick his plate… he gets up and puts it by his food bowl…like Luckie doesn’t understand that Matt has given in to his puppy dog eyes because of the plate placement… yeah right…

Anyway Matt usually has a little sweet treat in the evenings.. sometimes it is a piece of pie… sometimes it is ice cream (he works out and has the metabolism of a teenager which is somewhat annoying)... if it is eaten on a plate or from a bowl… Luckie usually gets a taste of whatever is left behind… I realized this just the other day as I was vacuuming and found a plate under the couch in our living room… I thought… What on Earth is this doing here???
It didn’t take long to compute…
Keep in mind our dog is the equivalent of 100+ people years… he does not hear… he does not see very well… but on Sunday as Matt was scraping the last bit of ice cream out of his bowl…Luckie jumped out of his bed in the living room and promptly plopped down… all sprawled out in front of Matt… just waiting for his treat… it was too cute - so I snapped this picture.. his Cushings Disease causes him to bloat up a little bit… and he has his winter fur…
Oh, who am I kidding he is a bit of “chunk” ... but he has had so much energy these days and runs like a puppy…
I think anyone who gets to be 100+ years old and is active should be able to lick a bowl or plate if they want to :)
