Organizers of the Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic tell me that the event at the Roanoke Civic Center was a success even though they had to turn away as many people as they were able to treat.
Pat Young, says it shows the need people in our community have for dental care. Dentists and hygienists who volunteered their time were able to see about 1,000 people in all.
Any follow up care people might need is being arranged through Project Access of the Roanoke Valley. We also learned there are a few other Mission of Mercy Dental Clinics this year.
