Loving this weather for running

I go through phases like anyone else when it comes to all things in life… work… exercise… nutrition.. I usually don’t stray far from my normal routine but every now and then it is nice to change things up a little bit… I didn’t realized how much I had missed running until this perfect fall weather got here…

I snapped this photo the other day.. it is a route I run often and at this point during my run.. I kiss my index finger.. point to the sky and say these words… Miss you Grandma.. you too Lance and Mr. Markowski…

It is my way of letting the people in Heaven know that they are missed and that I love them and wish they were here… I get a tear just thinking about it…

I believe Heaven is a better place than Earth.. my mom says we cry for ourselves.. and that our loved ones are in a better place.. I know she is right.. but it is still hard.. I know she misses her mom.. and that she gets sad sometimes.. but my mom has always been very sensible about things… she doesn’t like to dwell…

There is no pain in Heaven… just peace..

So many of our loved ones have such a struggle before they leave us… sometimes they are taken in an instant and we have no time to prepare.. either way it hurts… and it is hard to say goodbye without feeling like we are somehow forgetting all that they meant to us…

When I am running I do some of my best thinking… I sometimes think about work and what I have going on for the week but I mostly think about life.. and as you see here sometimes death… how short our time here is.. and how long the days and weeks can feel depending on the season.. or what is going on in our lives…

I think about how moods are cyclical.. sometimes high highs and low lows…when I am really excited about something or feeling really joyous.. sometimes I find myself being cautious about that.. because I know the opposite can be true in an instant…

I tell myself that God doesn’t want us to worry.. he has a plan for all of us.. sometimes it is hard to turn the worry button off… for me running helps.. and I didn’t realize how much until this most recent weather change…
