I have never been much of a snow skier.. I love to wakeboard and have always loved water sports but snow skiing left me under the lift… for most of my trips when I went back in high school with some friends and their families…
My husband loves both water sports and snow skiing and usually goes for at least one ski trip a year with a good friend of his… I always encourage him to take a weekend for it… because he likes it so…
This year we are going skiing together for the first time and it promises to be an interesting trip… we will be at the resort for two days.. in that time I may opt for snow tubing over skiing… we also have a trip planned for January.. talk about all or nothing huh?
I have owned a pair of ski pants for almost ten years that have only been worn for sleigh riding… and Matt took them by mistake on one of his weekend trips… which wasn’t a lot of fun for him as you can imagine… so I am looking forward to breaking them in on the slopes… in addition I have accumulated some good ski gloves and goggles.. thanks to one of my favorite discount retail stores…
Matt suggested I take a lesson.. I insisted that might take too much of our vacation time and that I would just figure it out… we’ll see… I may ease into the whole experience.. snow tubing this trip and then venture onto the ski slopes the next.. either way I am excited about the coming snow.. it makes for a pretty Christmas season… and since I have the week off next week.. it also means I hopefully won’t have to be out on the roads in it.
