The weather was perfect for getting into the holiday spirit on Saturday morning… it was cold but there was no wind, rain or snow and I was thankful for that… I set a time goal for myself of 24 minutes flat and missed it by one second.
I was still thrilled with the 24:01 finish and got first place for my age group.. In addition to that… the Roanoke Jingle Bell Run raised more money this year than any other Jingle Bell Run in the commonwealth… we also had our largest turn out with more than 1,300 people.
In all the event raised more than eighty two thousand dollars for the Arthritis Foundation! Special thanks to everyone for their support and to Q99’s David Page and our ambassador Abby Holbrook!
