When I planted the maroon and orange tulip bulbs in the fall it was relaxing but somewhat uneventful… there was no instant gratification… just some mulch around my mailbox… I put some pansies in the same flowerbed so it wouldn’t looks so bare… by the time I started to forget about the tulips… I noticed little bits of green pushing through the pansies… mulch and polished stones… I got so excited when I noticed the tips of the blooms actually showing a color other than green…
Then, this morning as I was pulling out of the driveway I noticed not one but two were just about to pop… even if it was only 40 degrees… hopefully they will weather this little cold snap and we will all be on our way to milder temperatures for a while…
