Olympic athletes are a dedicated bunch.. while I am sure many of them have different reasons for pursuing the dream of winning bronze, silver or gold they all have at least one thing in common… a patience and dedication that seems unending…
I run for fun and participate in some races… not because I ever expect to win any of them… just because it is fun to challenge myself and run my best race on any given day.. while I am not as skilled as our Olympic athletes I can only imagine that the challenge and desire to achieve a personal best are both partial motivators for years of hard work and training…
This year has a lot of fresh faces and some familiar ones too… it will be interesting to see how the medal counts shake out.
