Why I am glad I stayed home during my time off last week -
1. It feels like your break is longer because you don’t have to use any of your vacation days for travel.
2. Your room and board is covered by the mortgage payment.
3. You don’t have to feel guilty about splurging on a nice dinner or two.
4. Your dog is much happier and you don’t have to worry about getting the cold shoulder from him for a week after you return.
5. There are not two suitcases full of clothes waiting to be washed.
Even with all of those pluses there is one minus… it is hard to avoid doing any chores around the house - inside and out.
I know it sounds a bit crazy but I do miss my WSLS family when I am not at work… ready to start off the week in a good way… there will be more vacations and staycations in the future :)
