Slaying the teleprompter dragon

Not to make light of an important issue, but in all my NRV Red Cross stories today I wanted to make sure I read from the teleprompter correctly.

As you know in the past, I’ve screwed it up royally before, which I think hurts you as a viewer.

I lose you that way.

You can tell when I mess up and then you think about that more than what I am saying.

Well, I finally had some clean reads today!

I can’t tell you have difficult it is to read from the prompter—- it’s not as easy as many of you might believe.

The pacing, facial expressions, and flow are very important so that you, the viewer, understand.

It was an important story and I wanted you to get the information without any “I can’t read from the teleprompter” distractions.
