Movement in that health care fraud case that upset a lot of you

I’m happy to report some positive movement in that Health Care Virginia fraud case I first brought to you last Friday night.

I’ve heard from the state’s Medicaid people and they say that each one of the former clients of Health Care Virginia have been picked up by new providers.

Federal prosecutors call those clients some of the “victims” in this fraud case.

If you’ll remember, the feds placed a more than $300,000 “demand” on the company after three employees, including the former co-owner, pleaded guilty to a charge related to health care fraud.

I talked to some clients last week who were worried that Health Care Virginia’s shadiness might effect their Medicaid status.

The state says it won’t.

So that’s good news.

I’ll keep an eye on this story.
