Sometimes you just have to hit life’s “reset” button.
Just reboot.
I found myself doing that recently.
Just get back to the basics.
Make sure you have all your priorities straight.
It’s funny how life is a lot like this computer on which I’m keying in this text.
You can catch a virus.
You can open too many things, have too many projects going all at once.
If you have too many programs open, sometimes it causes your computer to run slowly.
That’s when you need to close some of those projects; close those programs and save all that information for later.
I have a little system I use when I have to “reset.”
I go back and read old journal entries of when things were going well.
What was I doing then that I’m not doing now?
I also look at old pictures.
Pictures of family.
Pictures of when I got married.
Pictures of when my kids were born.
It always serves as a reminder of all the blessings that God has provided for me.
And it’s also a reminder that I’ll never be forsaken.
It’s a way to get back to the basics.
The basics are family, friendships, and hard work.
