Friday Lite:  Crying while watching Charlie St. Cloud, The Golden Girls, & MTV’s Teen Wolf

It’s Friday so it’s time to get a cold Friday Lite:

Getting emotional while watching Charlie St. Cloud: Okay, as many of you know, we have a two week old baby.  To help the wife out, I’ve been taking the midnight to 3 AM shift and Tuck (our baby) has been taking full advantage lately by staying awake.  The movie “Charlie St. Cloud” was on HBO the other night so I watched it.  I thought it would be a dopey teen flick—- and it was—- but then I got all emotional and cried like a school boy dropped off on his first day of kindergarten.  It had to have been from the lack of sleep.  Not to give away everything, but the movie revolves around Zac Efron’s character playing catch everyday at sunset with his dead younger brother.  At one point Efron’s character is crying and asks his brother to “forgive” him because he can’t make that evening’s game of catch.  For Scott Leamon, that was the point where flood gates opened.

Speaking of late night TV watching:  I am soooo not the demographic when it comes to the 80s hit sitcom The Golden Girls, but I must admit, I’m a huge fan of the show!  Tuck’s night owl tendencies have allowed me to watch several episodes again on the WE network’s late line-up.

MTV’s Teen Wolf:  Again, I’m a 35 year old goof ball with buck teeth, a huge sports fan, and I like to take naps, so I don’t fit the demographic MTV was probably aiming for when it launched its new drama Teen Wolf.  It’s not the same as the Michael J. Fox movie all us old guys remember from the 80s.  It’s still pretty good though.  Not for kids however so keep that in mind.  And it still has the “Styles” character that was so funny from the movie.

Okay, now that I’ve completely confessed on my odd TV viewing habits, time to go work on today’s story…

Full week next week so see you then!
