Broke down and bought a snow shovel

I bought a snow shovel at the hardware store… and I’m terrified of having to use it!

Growing up the south, we never had to shovel snow!  At most, dad would sprinkle a little rock salt on the walkway from the house to the car so we didn’t slip on the ice that might have formed overnight.

I was amazed there were so many choice of snow shovels and they were in a rainbow of colors.  Some were big, some were small, they even had snow shovels for KIDS with cartoon characters printed on them!  Kids shovel snow??? Really???

As we were carrying a giant shovel through the store, looking at other things, one of the workers hollered “You’re not going to need that this year!”

We laughed but secretly, I’m hoping he’s right.  Okay, maybe not so secretly :)  But I’d rather have that shovel waiting around just in case.
