Will we actually see a beautiful fall color display?

Let those fall leaves fall. Actually, they already are… much to my surprise.

Usually the peak of the fall color starts on October 17th. And this year, given how wet it has been for much of the spring and summer we were supposed to have some spectacular colors.

However, I was in both Blacksburg and Lexington today and a lot of trees are already losing their leaves and the color wasn’t all that brilliant. Also, I already have a front yard, back yard and deck full of leaves.

Perhaps we’ll still have a beautiful fall color display, but I’m beginning to wonder.
