What’s happening this week: Nov. 1?
Well, one thing is obvious: It’s election day on Tuesday. That means we’ll have a very busy week at work. After a season that has included two of the most heated campaigns we’ve seen at the congressional level for years, it will soon be in the hands of you the voters. We’ve completed 4 candidate profiles, dozens of ad checks, countless stories covering the campaigns, and hosted two debates. It’s been one heck of an election.
We’ll have extended coverage Tuesday night with our political analyst, Dr. Bob Denton. And our teams will be out spanning the viewing area from Bristol and Abingdon all the way to Charlottesville. Keep in on WSLS for all the latest results!
But, the work doesn’t end after the election. It’s on to new projects. In fact my students will be at the station on Wednesday and Friday for a tour. It’s always one of the highlights of the semester and helps them connect the dots of what I’ve been talking about in class.
Finally, it’s time to start planning the holiday season. I always start early on my Christmas decorations and this year is no exception. There’s a party to plan and gifts to buy. There’s no rest this time of year… and I love it.
That’s the week… at this point.
