What’s happening this week… Nov. 8th?
I’m still in a bit of a post-election coma. The last few weeks of the campaign were exhausting. So, rest was in order this past weekend. Just today I started feeling like myself again.
But, last week I did have to celebrate a HUGE win. It wasn’t a political race. No, it was TCU’s stomping of #5 Utah at Utah. The Horned Frogs marched into Salt Lake City and shows the Utes who is boss! We beat them 47 to 7 to a sell out crowd, Utah’s second largest in school history. I could rattle off a long list of statistics… but I won’t bore you. We can leave it at this… TCU ROCKED this weekend. Only two games to go and they will have another perfect regular season. Go Horned Frogs!
At work, I’ll continue expanding our coverage utilizing our new partner, PolitifactVirginia. It’s a great resource for us to fact check the statements of our leaders, both federal and state. Watch for more of these segments in the coming days.
I’m also researching how Roanoke spent the stimulus money over the past year. That report will air later this month.
Finally, I’m done putting up my Christmas decorations. I know I’m worse than the department stores. I’m always one of the first up on my block with my wreaths, trees, and garlands. But, I have an early holiday party… so organization is imperative.
That’s the week in a nutshell.
