What’s happening this week… Nov. 15th?

What’s going on this week… Nov. 15?

First off a little complaining. My TCU Horned Frogs won this weekend, but barely. Their close game was coupled with Utah’s huge loss to a so-so Notre Dame team. That is sure to hurt us in the final BCS standings and perhaps keep us out of a BCS game altogether, including the national championship game. I’m not a happy camper. Sigh.

My football woes have extended to tonight, as the Philadelphia Eagles are beating the Redskins in an impressive fashion. And this is happening on the day that word leaked that the Skins have signed Donovan McNabb to a $78-million, 5-year contract extension. What a way to celebrate. Sigh.

Once I get past the football hangover, this week looks to be focused on two big things. First, my class at Virginia Tech. We are in the home stretch with only five classes remaining. This seems impossible to believe. Tuesday, a WSLS producer and a reporter will join me in class as guest speakers.

I will also be focusing a lot of energy on Big Brother Big Sisters this week. We have an executive committee meeting and board meeting this week. I’m also half through my term as board chair. This too is flying by!

TCU’s off this weekend, so I shouldn’t have any football heartburn this for at least two weeks.

I think that’s the week… at least as of now.
