What’s going on this week… July 29th?
Tuesday I’ll be visiting the Roanoke corporate offices for Goodwill, Inc. The company’s region stretches throughout all of Southwest Virginia and directors from all those localities will be in town for a training session. I’m giving a talk about the news, deadlines, and how we put together a story.
Friday, I’m heading to Chatham for my first candidate profile of the election. I’ll be visiting with Robert Hurt in his home town. The final story won’t air until October, but I’m trying to be organized and get as much taped now when things are still relatively calm.
Finally, I have to complain for a second about the heat. WOW! This is the sticky kind of heat that I lived through in Greenville, Mississippi. I lived there for 16 months, 26 days, and 14 hours, but fortunately that timed out to be just one summer. And, that was MORE than enough. I’m basically a wimp and prefer the moderate temps of spring and fall. If only we could live in those seasons year round! I think by Friday almost everyone will agree, as we are expecting 90’s and humidity all week. Enjoy.
Okay… that’s the week… at least as of today.
