The ever-shrinking magazine

I’m annoyed with my magazine subscriptions. I’m sure you’ve noticed that magazines are on a MAJOR diet. My GQ used to be book sized. Now, it’s easily 75% smaller. There are fewer stories, features, ads, pictures, and profiles.

And GQ isn’t alone. All of my favorite magazines have downsized.

I’m sure we can thank the economy, a lack of advertisers, staff cuts, and the Internet for the changes. But, that doesn’t make me like it any more.

I want my old GQ, Southern Living, and Traditional Home back. Sigh.

I only wish it was as easy for me to lose a couple of pounds as it appears to have been for my magazines to lose a few pages!
