Killer mosquitoes this year

Is it just me… or are the mosquitoes worse this year than they’ve been in some time?

I noticed them in mid-May, which of course is much earlier than normal. And since then, they have been more intense and larger than I have seen in some time.

I’m guessing that we can thank the warmer weather and the rain. But, does anyone have any solutions for getting rid of them? If they get much worse, I may be forced inside for the rest of the summer!
