I broke down and bought an Andriod…

I have finally ventured into the new decade (or maybe century). This weekend I bought my first android phone.

I tend to always resist the initial burst to buy any new fad or product. Call it the wait and see approach. Who wants to fall in love with beta… only to find out the rest of the world fell in love with VHS!

So, I generally wait at least 5 or 6 years… maybe even a decade… before I will believe that the latest technology is really here to stay. It’s what I did with a cell phone. It’s what I did with a DVD player. In fact, it’s even what I did with a CD player. I didn’t send a text until 3 years ago when I finally got a Blackberry (texting on a regular phone is too confusing).

I’ve yet to fall for the IPAD, IPOD, the kindle, or any of those other small computers or music players. Maybe that’s next.

For now, it’s time to figure out this new droid… which is far from easy. Just typing on it is frustrating. Wish me luck!
