Just a reminder everyone… our first candidate forum is tonight at 6pm as we host the Republican and Democrat in the 5th Congressional District.
This will be a new experiment for WSLS, getting away from the traditional debate formats with opening and closing statements, timed responses, and answers that tend to be the same old soundbites you’ve heard many times over. Instead, we are going to simply have a conversation with the candidates about the issues that matter most to you. I have gotten some GREAT questions from our website from many of you and will work to weave as many of those into the broadcast as I can.
Also, we’ll be doing a live chat with WSLS’s Meagan Farley starting at 5pm tonight. It will run through 6:30 and is a chance for you to discuss the issues, the candidates, the campaigns, and the ads… really anything election related. And, Dr. Bob will be with me at 5, and 5:30 for expert analysis on the race.
We’ll have follow up coverage to the exchange on WSLS at 7 and 11, so stay tuned for that.
I hope you’ll watch and that you’ll give me your feeback on what you thought of it… the good and the bad.
