Former 5th District Congressman Virgil Goode appears to be a member of two political parties. Tonight, he told WSLS 10 On Your Side’s Ashley Roberts that he is still a paying member of the Franklin County GOP. But, over the past week, there have been numerous national stories that have said Goode has joined the Constitution Party.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has stepped in it again and as cover he’s using the oldest excuse in the book: it’s the media’s fault. This time, Cuccinelli had special lapel pins made for his staff that changed the state seal of Virginia. The pins cover the half bare chest of Roman Goddess, which has been a part of the Virginia seal for decades.

First, I’m recuperating after last week’s debates and festivals. The weekend was packed with the Strawberry Festival, a party, and a cook-out. And the weather was perfect for it all. What a great time.
