Goodlatte’s amendment dies… for now.

Today, Congressman Bob Goodlatte’s career long mission of passing an amendment to the US Constitution requiring a balanced budget, died in the House. It faced even longer odds in the US Senate.

Price for everything is going up, including campaigns

Everything gets more expensive in life. First there’s almost constant gas prices above $3 (I remember when I first got my license filling up for 75 cents a gallon). Now, there’s peanut butter. It was reported this week that it will go up as much as 40% thanks to a hot, dry summer that ravaged the peanut crop across the south.
