Is an extramarital affair newsworthy? Should it be the lead story on the nightly news? Does it warrant public comment? I ask these question tonight, because Herman Cain’s campaign is embroiled in another issue with a woman, only this time it is for a consensual relationship, albeit an allegedly adulterous relationship.

Roanoke City leaders like to talk about not raising taxes (except for the two year hike in the meals tax), but I have a question. Is cutting a service and not reducing my tax bill, essentially a tax increase. Especially when I have to spend extra money to pick up the slack for the service that Roanoke City used to provide?
