Yet again, we have another reason to be proud to be Virginians. Yes, we’ve been inundated with negative attack ads. It’s almost the only thing running during newscasts and primetime. In fact, I’ve been surprised that we haven’t seen better mix of negative and positive, particularly at this stage in the campaign.

First off, I’m just back from a great weekend in Texas. We celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday in Fort Worth with a host of family and friends. It was a great time. And it was the perfect reminder of just how lucky I am to have a great family and such good, close friends… even if I don’t see them as often as I would like or should.
