What’s happening this week… June 7th.

I’m starting this blog with a look back at several of the weekend’s events. First, I attended Bernard Marie’s annual birthday party/tribute to our DDay veterans on Saturday. Bernard is a good friend who lives here in Roanoke now, but was born in France during the war. He survived thanks to the heroics of the Allied troops during DDay.

Sad news about the Gore family today

One of America’s leading political couples made a shocking announcement today. Tipper and Al Gore are separating. Say what you will about Al Gore (and I know many of you will), I would think everyone would hate to see what appeared to be a very durable, loving relationship fall apart. I know I did. And, I was also shocked to learn about it.
