What’s happening this week… May 24th.

What’s happening this week? First off, we welcomed 12 new interns into the station today. We started with a brief orientation. They will officially begin work tomorrow. I’m a BIG promoter of internships. It’s one of the best life experiences a student can get. I look forward to working with this group all summer.

So, Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) was back in Southside today. It’s at least his third trip to Southwest and/or Southside Virginia in the past few weeks.

NBC omits key part of story

NBC News made a mistake on tonight’s broadcast of Nightly News. It’s an error that helps garner the “liberal” label for all of journalism. The story deals with civil rights, a Kentucky Senate candidate, and a MSNBC host.

Voters exercise their own term limits Tuesday… as it should be.

Last night’s primary elections once again proved my consistent argument against term limits. We don’t need a defined term limit. It’s redundant, because the voters are the ultimate term limit.

Dumb politicians…

What a banner day for politics. We are in the middle of hotly contests primaries in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Arkansas today, but those races are having trouble competing with two bombshells.
