Warner has the flu, Webb isn’t feeling well…

I have been told that Mark Warner will not be on the campaign trail for the entire weekend because he has the flu. His communications director, Kevin Hall, told me that Warner visited the Capitol Hill physician and was diagnosed most likely with seasonal flu. He was given antibiotics. Hall said Warner had not previously received either the seasonal or swine flu vaccine.

Campaigns matter and 2009 is no different

In Virginia, campaigns matter. They matter quite a bit. And, that isn’t always the case in other states or races. Think back to 2008’s Democratic presidential primary. In that contest, most observers would say then Sen. Barack Obama ran a far superior campaign to then Sen. Hillary Clinton, yet Clinton almost prevailed.
