I don’t usually enjoy a soaking rain but this week, it came at the perfect time. Confident we were out of a freeze risk, I finally planted my garden—a variety of tomatoes and all my glorious herbs: basil, Italian parsley, chives, oregano, rosemary and new this year… sage. As I write this I realize I forgot the thyme… oops.
Anyway, I am determined to get my basil to take off this year and beat the slugs that want to take it down again. I think mother nature is giving me a jump start. Here’s to a green thumb!
