The best birthdays are the ones where you relax, take it easy and enjoy a wonderful evening with family and friends. That’s a new realization for me. Back in my “younger days” it was always a big celebration. This year, I enjoyed watching my 3-year-old decorate the cake she spent the morning baking with my husband before he headed to work. She was so focused. I never enjoyed a cake so much. The next day, wonderful friends had us over for dinner, complete with another beautiful cake. I couldn’t have wished for a better celebration, even though my daughter was the one to blow out my candles!
