Rolling at the White House

Back to work after a wonderful family weekend. In what’s now our second Easter tradition, we went to the White House Easter Egg Roll. After this year though, my I think they might change the name to the Easter Egg TOSS.

My daughter decided yet again, it was far more efficient to throw the beautifully dyed egg down the White House lawn, as opposed to rolling it with the provided spoon. This year, her arm was even more developed which helped her heave it to the finish line in what I think was just two throws. The White House volunteers were pleasantly amused. WHEEW!!

Roll, or toss, my infant wanted no part in any of it. I thought for sure his newly acquired crawling skills would lead him after the egg and across the finish line but I was surely mistaken. Maybe he just didn’t like the grass. Maybe next year.
