I never made pulled pork barbeque before… thinking I’d need a smoker and a lot more time to watch the stove than I have. I just learned that isn’t necessarily the case. I tried this recipe a couple weeks ago. I was short on time but wanted a warm addition to a brunch I was throwing together. It turned out, this pork was the best… and even better, I made it in my crock pot.
I’ve not liked one dish I’ve tried in my crock pot in the five years I’ve owned it so I’m happy to find one that does well.
Here’s how easy it is.
2 onions, sliced
6 whole cloves
2 cups water
5 lb pork shoulder
2 bottles Baby Rays Sweet Barbeque Sauce
Put half the onions in the bottom of your crock pot. Place the pork on top, followed by the remaining onions, water and cloves. Cook on low for 10 hours.
Drain and let the pork cool. Shred the pork into bite size pieces. Return to the crock pot. Add the barbeque sauce and warm.
